It seems mean but there is just too much and the rooms are too small. I remember when I used to clean my room, which usually looked like the picture, I would cry. I used to "borrow" all kinds of things from my mother and she would yell and yell about it. I do not do this to my kids. We work as a team to get the job done. I ask about most things before eliminating. It is much more pleasant this way! Thank for stopping by! I always do that when they are not at home, though, so they can't complain about stuff I decide to get rid of. I do not have this "clean your room" drama yet, because my son is still too young for that, LOL. But I know, I will have the same thing happening with toys in his room pretty soon, when he starts growing out of them. We do donate old stuff from our house on a regular basis. I do a mass cleaning with two bags- one to throw away broken toys and another for toys to give away. We do giveaway toys at Christmas time and Birthday time to make way for the new toys- but it always seems we have more then we need!
