Pirate party’s are so much fun!!! My youngest had one for his 5th birthday. We did “Simon Says” but used “Captain Says” instead. We had a water relay and played “Ships Ahoy!”. I was able to get little dress up kits for not a lot of money and put those in the middle of a pass the parcel. The kids all dressed up and we went looking for gold treasure boxes around the yard which were used to fill up their loot bags.

You’ve really got a lot of great ideas in here. I especially like the scavenger hunt! We’re doing one this weekend for my 9 y.o. and, if the weather cooperates it should be great : )

I love the idea of mixing pirates in with princesses because I am so sick of Sleeping Beauty (and co.) that I think it would be cathartic to see another type of princess at a party. One with a bat instead of a tiara.
