20 Days Until Christmas

OK I know I missed a few.  In the last 20 days I have been sick as have all of the kids.  Today is the first day that everyone made it to school and I am breathing a sigh of relief.  Needless to say I am way behind on my schedule.  I had wanted to be so much further along by now.  I have a bit of catching up to do!

I feel like the Grinch has stolen my Christmas! The house is not decorated, pictures of the kids have not been done, shopping is started but not complete, Abigail thinks that I am Santa Clause and no cookies are baked.  This weekend it the big one for us.  I would like to get everything decorated and all set.  This will leave time over the next week or so to do some baking.  I think that this will have me all caught up.  Wish me luck.  I think that I am going to need it!

    Christmas is just around the corner! I am in the same boat as you. My first Christmas with my baby, should I decorate or not decorate. He is 10 months old, am I asking for trouble to pull all that Christmas stuff out? Do I have the time still? It is already 20 days til Christmas?

    And on top of that-co workers have vacation and the work piles on top. I did decorate for the first time in two years- no kids so it is all for me. Once the decorations come out, it is more in the spirit. Just when, where, and how am I going to shop? I dread the stores. Who to give to this year? Just the kids- it is their magic time and just a little bit can go a long way.

    Giovanna,
    I know that I am a little late in my reply. I would decorate but do not put anything out that has special meaning to you. My daughter is 18 months and we put only plastic and stuffed ornaments on the bottome of the three. Analiese has been great about not touching the tree but I was in the same boat as you. Do you put the things out of keep them boxed up? I vote for put them out!

    I am so happy to hear that you have decorated this year. You are right that it is about the spirit and magic. I think that this is what Christmas is!
