As a parent I know that there is so much to get done before the big birthday party. When should the invites go out, when can I start preparing. I have found that it is always easier to use a party checklist to get the job done right. Here is the checklist that I use. It should be helpful.

A MONTH BEFORE:

  • Decide on a date
  • Choose a location
  • Develop a tentative menu
  • Pick a party theme
  • Research different party games
  • Decide on favors and order if you are buying online. This will save you from having to pay for express shipping.
  • Write out your guest list. Usually about 1/3 of the children invited are unable to attend.

2-4 Weeks Before the Party

  • Send out your invitations.
  • Purchase any paper goods needed. Always buy more forks. They go the quickest.
  • Place balloon order if you are planning on balloons

1 Week Before the Party:

  • Make the cake. If you are making the cake make it and freeze it. If you are buying it it should be ordered
  • Shop for food and drinks that will not spoil

2-3 Days Before the Party:

  • Prepare all food that can be made ahead of time.
  • Call all of the people who did not RSVP
  • Assemble goodie bags with Toys, novelties, and candy.
  • Buy fresh meat and produce

Day of the Party:

  • Set tables and arrange seating if you would like that done ahead of time.
  • Prepare food.
  • Icing homemade cake
  • Set up all birthday party games and stations
  • Pick up balloons
  • Relax, smile and enjoy the party.

How To apply Lip Gloss

Let’s Begin

  • Choose a high-quality quality lip gloss like Becca Cosmetics Cherry Bomb. It is wonderful for girls who want to bring some attention to their lips.
  • Use a mirror to help you apply a good amount of lip-gloss on the tip of the wand. If your gloss is in a lip gloss pot, use a thin brush.
  • Softly purse out your lips and work in the gloss. Make sure you stay in the lines don’t apply outside the lip-line. Using a lip pencil will make this task easier.
  • GOOD TIP Form Mom* Place your finger inside your mouth and pull outward after application. This will help you so that the gloss doesn’t get on your teeth.

Do’s

  • To prevent mistakes, you often can’t feel a mirror is highly recommended!
  • Relax and take your time, if you rush you will get bad results and badly applied lip-gloss looks horrible.
  • I think that lip-gloss with wands might be easyer as they provide more application control.
  • Choose the right color for the occasion make sure the outfit, and of course your skin tone all flow.
  • For full lips – try using lighter shades this will give you nice results.
  • For thin Lips – Try a high colored gloss pinks and reds to make your lips appear fuller.
  • If you have someone in you life, find out their favorite color & flavor, like strawberry or cherry! They’ll love it and it will keep them coming back!

  • If you want lip gloss that stays on the whole night
    • First apply chap stick and keep it on for 5 min.
    • Next wipe if off with a wet towel
    • Repeat step one – than apply gloss on top of chap stick – this works like a charm for the the woman that is going out for a night on the town or for the girl that has that special someone the tends to make you gloss disappear.

Don’t

  • Pucker your lips. If you do not you will get lip-gloss in your mouth
  • Lipstick is not lip-gloss. Lip-gloss has a shine. Lipstick is relatively matte.
  • Lip-gloss outside the “lines” lipline is very unattractive!
  • After you apply your gloss don’t blot your lips, you will loose shine and negate the purpose of your gloss!
